Uses
Hardware
- M1 MacBook Air.
- iPhone 15.
- iPad 10.2" 9th gen. With Apple's Sidecar, this lets my it double as an auxiliary monitor while I'm on the go.
- Samsung UR55 4K monitor. Great value for money and not too bulky.
- WHOOP 4.0. Helps me monitor my sleep.
- A 27" Penny Nickel board. Combined with BART and MUNI trains, I can get to a lot of spots faster than a car. Cruising through the city is pure joy.
- Landyachtz Ripper. My go-to for longer rides.
- This 32oz stainless steel water bottle. Uninsulated, so it's very light.
Misc
- Uniqlo Airism everything.
- CeraVe cleanser and moisturizer + sunscreen.
Software
- Raycast. Adore this app, a masterclass in design and usability.
- Notion. A lot of people call Notion their "second brain". For me, it's my only brain. 😄
- Karabiner Elements. For a hyper key.
- HabitShare. My "carrot" accountability too. Best with friends.
- Beeminder. My "stick" accountability tool, Beeminder will charge you an ever-increasing sum of money if you fail to log a habit.
- Cronometer. Helps me keep tabs on my nutrition.
Platforms
- Node.js and TypeScript, usually with Vite and tsx. I'm not really a software engineer, I'm just a very evolved Javascripter.
- 11ty. The minimalist generator I use to build this site.
- Vercel for one-off projects.
- Render.com, for server-full.
- Plausible, for my site analytics.
- Sentry, for error tracking.
- Cloudflare for all sorts of things.
Things I'm still looking for
- A solid pair of waterproof running shoes.
- A small, lightweight laptop bag.
